Day 9
So it turns out that my formula for calculating the geographical position of a point on the circle of equal altitude didn't work. It was a bit naive.
Right now I'm thinking about how to get the azimuth to end up on the correct quadrant so it won't be necessary to correct it just because you're observing the western side of the sky.
The forecast for tomorrow night is clear of clouds, so perhaps I'll even be able make some first measurements using the quadrant then!
