Typing
The standard swedish keyboard layout has a lot of faults compared to the US standard layout.
- Forward-slash is a shift-activated key
- Backticks are both shift-activated and require two presses of the key (which then prints TWO backticks...)
- Parentheses
()
and brackets{}
are placed on the number row, so you have to reach for them with your right hand every time you want to use them - Brackets are AltGr-activated which means pressing either Ctrl+LeftAlt or RightAlt, neither of which are very convenient for the hands (also, sometimes Ctrl+LeftAlt doesn't work properly)
- Backslash is AltGr-activated which sucks for the same reasons as with brackets
